The work by Johan Muyle (b. 1956, Charleroi) throws a critical and lyrical light on the human condition. As with the outer layers of our planet, our society consists of cultural, religious and political ‘tectonic plates’. Various reference frameworks, thought patterns and lifestyles exist next to each other, overlap and slowly shift. In between all the various truths and perspectives, the figure in this work goes looking for the greatest common denominator, a perspective that resonates with everyone.
