In the 70s, director Robert Wilson (b. 1941, Waco) worked together with dancer and choreographer Lucinda Childs and composer Philip Glass, to make the avant-garde opera Einstein on the Beach. This portrait looks back at the collaboration. We see Lucinda Childs in REM sleep – the dream phase of our night’s sleep – and hear echoes of Einstein on the Beach in the background.
